Chocolate Raspberry Protein Balls
These Chocolate Raspberry Protein Balls are the perfect pre or post-workout snack. The salty and savory almond butter combines perfectly with the tang of the raspberries and the sweetness of the chocolate. These will feel like you’re eating a dessert, but you’ll really be getting in an extra bit of protein.

chocolate raspberry protein balls ingredient notes:
Almond Butter: Our binder to bring it all together and help these protein balls stick, is a quarter cup of almond butter, but you can also opt for cashew or sunflower butter. Nut butters add another source of fiber and protein. You can use whichever you have on hand, although I recommend looking for one with minimal ingredients, just almonds and salt!
Chocolate Protein Powder: My favorite chocolate protein powder is this brownie batter flavor, but you can opt for your go-to protein powder of choice here. If using an unflavored protein powder, combine with about 1/4 cup cocoa powder for a chocolatey base.
Freeze Dried Raspberries: Freeze dried fruit is shelf stable and packed with flavor making it perfect for baking, or in our case no bake recipes! The raspberries add a tartness and touch of color to each bite that pairs perfectly with our rich chocolatey base.
Cacao Nibs: Cacao nibs are full of antioxidants, magnesium, iron, and fiber making them a healthier alternative to processed chocolate, however for something a little sweeter, you can always opt for dark chocolate chips here!

So you have the nutrition on these?
I made these but I replaced the protein powder with a mix of collagen and cocoa powder. I also didn’t have cacao nibs so I just used a couple tablespoons of the Trader Joe’s 72% dark chocolate chips. I LOVE these little bites. The freeze dried berries really take it to the next level. Thank you for your awesome recipes!
Can these be frozen? About how long will they last in the fridge/freezer?
Do you know how much protein / calories are in a bite?
Can you use fresh raspberries, or frozen instead of freeze dried raspberries?
