Chocolate Orange Oats

These chocolate orange oats are delicious, creamy, sweet, salty, and tangy. They are extremely nourishing and can be prepared in just 10 minutes on the stovetop! You’ll feel like you are eating a decadent dessert for breakfast, but you will be fueled for the day. And to make things even better, they are gluten-free and vegan!

These oats are sweet and salty and the orange gives them a delicious tang. Don’t be surprised if you feel like you are eating dessert for breakfast!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups almond milk

  • 1 cup gluten free oats

  • Pinch of sea salt

  • 2 tbsp chia seeds

  • 2 tbsp cacao powder

  • 1 tbsp maple syrup

  • Zest of 1 orange

  • 2 tbsp dark chocolate tahini

  • For topping: extra tahini, dairy-free yogurt, & orange slice

Directions

  • Bring the almond milk to a boil, then mix in the oats and decrease heat to medium/low.
  • After 8 minutes, mix in the salt, chia seeds, & cacao powder.
  • Simmer another 2 minutes, until oats are fully cooked,
  • Mix in the maple syrup, orange zest, and tahini. Transfer to a bowl or store in airtight containers in the fridge until serving. Top with toppings if desired and enjoy!
